PORTLAND, OR, May 1, 2025 – Real estate transactional and litigation attorney Brianna Kalk has been promoted to the position of counsel at the Portland law firm Barg Singer Hoesly PC, where she will continue to work closely with clients on both transactions and disputes.

Kalk, who has practiced law at the firm since 2018 and joined the firm as a paralegal in 2015 while she pursued her law degree, advises clients on a wide array of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales, leases, and financing transactions, as well as on real estate and other commercial litigation matters.

In her practice, Kalk has served as the lead attorney representing property buyers and sellers and counseling landlords and tenants on commercial leases, and she has also played a key role in representing clients on financing transactions (including opinion letter matters), commercial evictions, and other business disputes.

Prior to joining Barg Singer Hoesly, Kalk spent five years working for the Department of Defense, during which time she served in Defense Attaché Offices at the US Embassies in Burundi and Rwanda.

She earned her J.D. at Lewis & Clark Law School after earning an M.A. from the School of Oriental & African Studies, University of London, and a B.A. from Georgetown University.

Outside of her law practice, Kalk is engaged in community matters, helping guide Cleveland High School’s Constitution Team to its first appearance in the We the People National Finals in 2021 and serving as a board member of the Portland-based Echo Theater Company.
