REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

• Represented named plaintiffs in several class actions involving fake discounts on consumer goods, achieving highly favorable settlements.

• Represented named plaintiff in class action against prominent products manufacturer for misrepresentations regarding the characteristics of the manufacturer’s products. The case settled on highly favorable terms.

• Represented plaintiff in trial court and on appeal in landmark medical malpractice case establishing that rural hospitals can be sued in Portland when they contract with Oregon Health & Science University to provide essential medical services.

• Represented trust beneficiary in action among beneficiary’s siblings, the trustees of the trust, and the State of Oregon (on behalf of certain non-profit organizations) concerning distributions due under trust agreement. The case resolved on favorable terms.

• Represented father who was awarded custody of his son in state court and then sued by the son’s maternal grandparents in federal court, successfully defending against frivolous claims seeking to void the state court order.
